 July 21st, 2005 Yes, I've been slack!!! Mea culpa and a million apologies. But the news is looking better. I've learned to drive this blog on my own (yay!!), which hopefully means I can update more regularly. *Warning: Advert coming* I think this a great time to pay homage to my brilliant web-mistress, Ms Tanya McGovern, (from here on known as Webwoman and who has demanded a cape and black knee high stilettos!) who will never cease to be showered with my undying awe and gratitude. If you need any web work done - just drop me an email and I'll pass it on to Webwoman cos she's too shy to go out and ask herself!!! To kick off my new regular update regime, I'm going to compile a list of things we might want to talk about, but I admit I'm gonna need some help! So, if you have a burning question that's keeping you awake at night - what the heck - go ahead and ask! Chances are high that I won't have a clue - but that won't stop me answering right here! We're gonna have such fun!! So, I'll go write - and you go think of great things to ask me that I won't be able to answer. Before I go tho, big hurrahs and waves to Tara from Florida who took the time to write me the sweetest fan letter on my YA, 'Princesses don't Sweat". You totally made my day and I think you have just jumped to number one on my fan hit parade. Okay? Right now, I'm STILL trying to bring myself to take down the Christmas Tree. Why does the festive season have to go by so fast?
If I was President (or Prime Minister here), I'd insist that Christmas be extended for at least another month. I mean, there's just not enough time to experiment with prime mistletoe locations, is there?
Oh well, time to get back to work I guess. My new heroine is falling in LURVE with the cutest guy. I'm actually thinking of stealing him out of the manuscript pages for myself...

Okay, I should be writing, but there are just so many distractions this time of year! Summer is offering up all the best temptations and this is one gal who doesn't resist temptation easily!
I'm both blessed and cursed living in this beautiful part of Oz. So many great locations to choose from! Shopping Mall, Lake, Beach, Mountains... er... the kitchen that's just screaming to be cleaned.
Oh, but I DO have to nurture those creative vibes -- my heroine is relying on me right now to rescue her from the embarrassment of a nasty wardrobe malfunction! -- so the kitchen will have to wait. I mean there's nothing inspirational in the kitchen (except for the home-made double choc cookies...)
Which would you choose? Cleaning or Inspired writing? This is where I become the queen of compromise. My plan? Clean out the cookie jar, grab a notebook and head for the beach!!! :0)

I've tortured my heroine dreadfully today.

Seriously! It's so often the way it goes. The more you challenge them, the more they come to life, the better the story gets.
I just hope she's still talking to me tomorrow. Especially after she finds out about that little thing I have planned...
